Meet The Team

Dr. Don Wallace DC, ART, CKTP

Co-Owner

Dr. Wallace is co-owner of LICHIROPT and has been a chiropractor working with Physical Therapists and Medical Physicians since 1996. He has been a resident of Nesconset since 1983. He has a Mechanical Engineering Degree from Villanova University, an MBA from LI University and a Doctorate of Chiropractic Degree from New York Chiropractic College (Honors). He was an Engineer in the aerospace industry for 13 years before going to Chiropractic School. He has been CERTIFIED in Spinal Rehabilitation, EMG/NCV Electro-Diagnostic Testing, Active Release Technique (ART), Functional Movement Systems (FMS) and Certified Kinesio Taping Provider (CKTP) and trained in the McGill method of treating Herniated discs . He developed a patent on a golf exercise product and program called GreenStick Golf (www.greenstickgolf.com ). Dr. Wallace employs years of experience and knowledge to diagnose and treat all musculoskeletal conditions with a very diversified toolbox. He treats patients throughout all of Suffolk county, in towns including Smithtown, Nesconset, Hauppauge, Ronkonkoma, St. James and Stonybrook.

Dana Ballis, DPT

Dana earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Stony Brook University and her Bachelor degree in Biological Sciences with a minor in Nutrition and Biochemistry from the University of Delaware. While at Stony Brook, Dana was inducted into the Alpha Eta National Honor Society for academic excellence among allied health professionals.

Dana works with a mix of outpatient orthopedics, spinal disorders, and vestibular dysfunctions. She commonly works with patients returning from orthopedic/spinal surgeries, sports injuries, and general discomfort with day to day activities. Dana is a trained Active Release Technique physical therapist that helps with mobility, strength, circulation, and pain. She is trained in the Mcgill Method which focuses on improving strength and decreasing pain in low back cases. Dana has training as a vestibular and concussion specialist from American Institute of Balance and helps patients with inner-ear disorders including hypo-functions, acoustic neuromas, and benign positional paroxysmal vertigo.

Dana has a passion for an active lifestyle starting from her love for dance and running. She has done half marathons, triathlons, and a marathon. She loves hot yoga and has been practicing yoga for over 10 years. Fun fact about Dana is she rode her bicycle across the USA and her bucket list item is to go to all 50 States!

Stephanie Salomon, LMT

Stephanie has been working as a full time massage therapist since 2013. As an athlete and outdoor enthusiast, she has a deep understanding and passion for the importance of a healthy, pain-free body. Having collaborated mainly with chiropractors and physical therapists over the years has given her a uniquely well-rounded knowledge and experience. Stephanie specializes in medical massage, incorporating detailed therapeutic work to help alleviate tension and pain.

 

Daniel O'Leary DPT

Dan O’Leary, DPT has been practicing in outpatient physical therapy settings since 2006 and earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the New York Institute of Technology in 2013. With nearly two decades of clinical experience, he brings extensive expertise and a patient-centered approach to every session.
Dan enjoys working with patients of all ages and is especially passionate about helping individuals overcome chronic pain, persistent headaches, and complex conditions requiring skilled differential diagnosis. Through a combination of evidence-based treatment and personalized care, Dan strives to restore function, improve mobility, and empower patients to take an active role in their recovery.
Outside the clinic, Dan maintains a strong interest in a variety of sports and regularly participates in local races, including 5K and 10K runs. His active lifestyle supports a holistic understanding of movement, performance, and long-term wellness.

Connie Nielsen DPT

Connie Nielsen earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Springfield College in 2018. She served as president of Springfield College’s Physical Therapy Organization and helped develop the first international outpatient affiliation for the Springfield College Physical Therapy Program, in Trinidad and Tobago. There, she completed an 11-week clinical rotation followed by serving as the student ambassador for the 2nd Annual country-wide Fall Prevention program of Trinidad and Tobago.

Since graduating, Connie has worked in a variety of settings but most extensively in outpatient orthopedics, blending hands-on care with individualized treatment plans. Her clinical background includes experience in post-surgical recovery, sports rehabilitation, geriatrics, concussion/return to play, vestibular and balance therapy, Bell’s palsy, aquatic therapy, manual therapy, and modalities. 

Connie has advanced training in a variety of techniques: she is a GTS (Graston Technique Specialist), a CKTP (Certified KinesioTaping Practitioner), certified in Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) training, and also specializes in Schroth Therapy for scoliosis (SSOL).

Connie is passionate about providing holistic, evidence-based care and enjoys working with a diverse patient population ranging from athletes returning to sport to older adults seeking improved mobility. Her goal is to empower patients through education, movement, and compassionate care.

Outside of the clinic, Connie enjoys being with her family and staying active! She loves lacrosse, a sport she played at the collegiate level, and also enjoys spending time at the beach, and playing outdoor volleyball and spikeball with friends.
